Campus Network Access

How to Connect to Public Wireless

Wireless access is available across campus. You are allowed to register 3 devices total. This includes devices connected to the wired network in the residence halls.

All devices registered expire after being inactive for 14 days. Once a device expires, it will need to be re-registered onto the CSC network.

Step 1:
Activate wireless on your device and connect to the network name CSC.

Step 2:
If a captive portal does not automatically show up, open a browser. (Google Chrome is recommended.)

Step 3:
Navigate to www.csc.edu.

Step 4:
Register as a student or employee and use your Campus Account/EagleMail to sign in.

Step 5:
A progress bar will show and redirect your device to the CSC homepage once successfully registered.

How to Connect to Wired Connection in Dorm Rooms

Wired network wall ports are provided in all residence hall rooms. Wired connections are more secure, faster and offer higher reliability than wireless.

Students are required to provide a CAT5e/6 cable between the computer and network wall port. We recommend 15-25 feet, depending on your room layout.

All devices registered expire after being inactive for 14 days. Once a device expires, it will need to be re-registered onto the CSC network.

Step 1:
Turn off wireless.

Step 2:
Connect a CAT5e/6 cable between the network wall port and the ethernet jack on the computer.

Step 3:
Configure your network settings to DHCP.

Step 4:
If a captive portal does not automatically launch, open a browser (Google Chrome is preferred).

Step 5:
Navigate to www.csc.edu

Step 6: Register as a student or employee and use your Campus Account/EagleMail credentials to sign in.

Step 6:
A progress bar should appear, and your device will redirect to the CSC homepage once it is successfully registered.
