International Food Party set for March 22

CHADRON – Chadron State College will host the 40th annual International Club Food Tasting Party on March 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center ballroom. The menu will feature dishes from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Japan, Columbia, and Southern U.S. cuisine items, such as Nigerian fried rice, tibs, arepa, miso soup, gumbo, and cornbread.
Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for ages 55 and older and for children ages 5-18. Children under the age of 5 are free. Tickets for the public will be sold in the Student Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday and Tuesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 6. If those interested in tickets are unable to visit the Student Center on these dates, they may contact club sponsor Jen Schaer at jschaer@csc.edu or 308-432-6069 to purchase tickets.
CSC students should use the code STUDENTTIX25 to reserve one free ticket each online.
The evening’s activities will include a trivia game for all attendees. International Club members plan to perform dances, musical numbers, and a fashion show representing Nigeria, Ethiopia, Mexico, American Samoa, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Japan, Equatorial Guinea, and other countries.
International Club members also plan to set up a marketplace in the Student Center, selling items from their countries. Guests should bring cash for these purchases.
