Glanz earns Nebraska Broadcasters Association Scholarship

CHADRON – The Nebraska Broadcasters Association (NBA) has awarded a $2,000 scholarship to three Nebraska college students with career aspirations to work in broadcasting.
Chadron State College Austin Glanz of Sidney, Nebraska, is one of those recipients. Glanz, a sophomore, is pursuing a major in Media Production in Communications. Following his anticipated graduation in May 2027, Glanz is considering career options such as radio host, sports commentator/announcer, and voice acting.
NBA Foundation Board Chair Jessie Johnson and Vice President of News Channel Nebraska Tri-Cities/General Manager in Kearney, said the scholarship recipients represent a broad range of experience, skills, and talent.
“They will serve our industry and audiences well in the near future. The new perspectives and innovations of these students will be welcome. On behalf of the NBA Board of Directors, congratulations to each of you,” Johnson said.
The scholarship program is supported by participating NBA member Station Employment Units (SEUs), who fund and promote the program and then review and score the qualified applications. All SEU scores are then averaged, with the top three scoring applicants each awarded a scholarship.
