CHADRON – Thousands of students attending more than 230 Nebraska K-12 schools are benefiting from Chadron State College’s sponsorship of Kindness eWalls.

Messages posted on the screens throughout the schools range from congratulations on student accomplishments to thanks for participation in school events, and services provided by faculty and staff. A faculty moderator at each school is responsible for the content posted.

Alex Helmbrecht, Director of College Relations, said he is pleased with the reach the sponsorship provides. At the end of February, more than 7,800 impressions were made in schools. In addition, 8,700 website impressions were recorded. Nearly 22,000 impressions have reached teachers, administrators and others who receive the YouUplift Kindness eWall newsletter and emails.

According to Kurt Thiele of YouUplift, the parent company of Kindness eWall, normally, 20 percent of a state’s schools adopt the service in the first year. With 232 of Nebraska’s 1,000 schools using the service, CSC’s sponsorship is running ahead of average.
