CSC to host Black Excellence Expo Tuesday

CHADRON – Chadron State College is hosting an event titled Black Excellence Expo Feb. 27 from 11 to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Topics will include the arts, athletics, business, civil rights, education, and government. The event is free and open to the public.

CSC President Dr. Ron K. Patterson, Dr. Janet Anthony, Education Associate Professor, and Julian Berrian, Associate Professor of Communication Arts, will present.

Student speakers include Ruhama Molla and Lidiya Dinku of Addis Ababa, Emmanuella Tchona of Benin, Amber Harvey of Centennial, Colo., Sophia Oladimeji of Chadron, Porter Anderson of Russellville, Ark., Aiyana Fujiyama of Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Julio Phipps of Bronx, N.Y.

The International Club, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and Sigma Tau Delta are co-sponsoring the event.
