NSCS Hires Kramer as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration

LINCOLN – The Nebraska State College System (NSCS) welcomes Monte Kramer EdD, MBA as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA).

Kramer joins the NSCS with more than 20 years of experience as a chief financial officer at the South Dakota Board of Regents. While in the role of System Vice President of Finance and Administration, Kramer provided oversight for an $825M budget, policy direction, administration and direction of budgets, finances, technology, facilities, and other administrative areas.

“Dr. Kramer is a proven leader with exceptional skills in finance management in higher education, and will be a tremendous addition to the State College team,” said Dr. Paul Turman, Chancellor of the NSCS.

The VCFA provides leadership, direction, management, and coordination of the system's fiscal affairs, including budget development and control, operational resource allocation, oversight of bond matters, business operations, accounting operations, and like activities. The VCFA participates in policy formation and establishes financial and administrative procedures. 

Kramer will officially begin his role March 1, 2021, replacing Carolyn Murphy who is retiring in April. Murphy has served as the VCFA since 2006.
