North Dakota ag producers to speak at CSC
CHADRON – The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition (NGLC), Nebraska Extension, and Nebraska Environmental Trust will present Why We Seek and Keep Seeking: From Crisis Management to Holistic Management by Joshua and Tara Dukart of western North Dakota Thursday, Nov. 11. The program will be from 4:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the CSC Student Center. Cost for the conference is $20, which includes the evening meal and can be paid to the sponsors at the door.
NGLC Coordinator and CSC Professor Dr. Ron Bolze said the NGLC will cover the cost of all high school and college student registrations. Local FFA chapters are encouraged to attend. Early registration is required by Tuesday, Nov. 2 by contacting Jack Arterburn, Nebraska Beef Systems Extension Educator in Box Butte, Dawes, Sioux, and Sheridan Counties at 308-432-3373. All attendees must register, including students.
Bolze said the Dukarts believe ranchers, farmers, and other ag professionals have a unique ability to simultaneously regenerate soils while building healthy profits, and achieving a high quality of life.
“They also know how challenging it can be to find the right balance when not all team members are pulling in the same direction, when prices are beyond our control, and when weather just won’t cooperate,” Bolze said.
According to Bolze, the Dukarts aspire to regenerate landscapes, farming, and ranching businesses and help create win-win situations for families, communities, business teams, and organizations.
“Joshua and Tara firmly believe wealth can be generated in a variety of ways: biologically, financially, and socially. Whether you are currently in a season of balance or unbalance, crisis or calm, we invite you to hear this dynamic couple. Their goal is to connect you with community and equip you with tangible ways to live and ranch with intention,” Bolze said.
