CSC moves classes to remote delivery, cancels events through April 14
CHADRON – Effective Monday, March 23, all Chadron State College academic courses, including those that were formerly taught in classrooms and face-to-face, will be accessed only through remote delivery for the remainder of the spring semester, President Randy Rhine announced in a letter to campus.
Rhine said remote delivery includes a variety of formats and students should work with their professors to find workable solutions.
Rhine also said campus buildings will be closed to the public. However, students may access the residence halls, the cafeteria, the library, computer labs, and the complete range of student and academic support services. Students who do remain on campus should practice social distancing and avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people.
Chadron State College is canceling all scheduled events, effective March 17 through Tuesday, April 14. These events include public demonstrations, campus visits or campus showcases, speaking engagements or public lectures, and intramural or group fit activities. A determination about CSC events occurring after April 14 will be announced no later than April 1.
Rhine concluded his letter by thanking employees for being patient during this time of uncertainty.
“Everyone who works at Chadron State College is working diligently so students can accomplish their academic goals. Together we can continue to help students meet those goals, as well as make the health and safety of our campus community our top priority,” Rhine said.
