Foundation announces Fall Fund Drive pledges of $142,746

CHADRON – Volunteers with the Chadron State Foundation’s annual Fall Fund Drive celebrated the conclusion of the drive with pledges of $142,746 during a reception at the Bean Broker Nov. 5. Funds raised will support scholarships, improvements to college facilities, and departments and programs.

More than one hundred participated in the drive by contacting approximately 650 donors, according to Jake Rissler, development officer with the Foundation.

Community co-chairs were Kristina Reeves and Gabby Michna. Campus co-chairs were John Ritzen and Shaunda French-Collins. The first place community team was Terri Haynes, team lead, Mike Kesselring, Dave Feddersen, Jessica Sanford, and Karen Eisenbarth. The first place campus team was Brittany Helmbrecht, team lead, Alex Helmbrecht, Brenda Barry-Schommer, John Murphy, Dawn Brammer, and Lorie Hunn.

Rissler said the Foundation appreciates all of the volunteers’ time and effort, as well as participating local businesses.

This year, the fund drive also received help from students enrolled in Introduction to Public Relations (CA 250) who wrote and recorded radio advertisements to assist with publicity.
