Campus closed Thursday; Eli Young Band concert postponed
Chadron State College is closing its campus Thursday, Oct. 10, because of winter weather conditions. Residence halls and dining services will remain open.
Chadron, and the surrounding area, is in a Winter Storm Warning until Friday at 6 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Heavy snowfall and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour are forecasted. The National Weather Service does not recommend travel because of the dangerous conditions.
CSC employees may refer to Human Resources or the Employee Handbook for information regarding leave practices during campus closures. Employees may refer to their supervisor to determine if they are essential personnel.

Postponement
The Eli Young Band concert scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Nelson Physical Activity Center has been postponed. The band's management is working with CSC to schedule a concert at a later date. Individuals who purchased a ticket to tonight's concert will be able to use it at the rescheduled show.
Cancellation
The College Musician for a Day event scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Memorial Hall is canceled.
