The Board also approved the continuation of the Chadron State Theatre and Peru State Music programs as well as an in-depth CCPE review because those programs did not meet CCPE’s threshold. The in-depth CSC Theatre review is scheduled for May 30, 2019. Liberal Arts Dean Jim Margetts and Vice President for Academic Affairs Charles Snare will be attending to respond to questions.
An area in Armstrong Gymnasium received approval for its name in recognition of the Brent and Shelly Thurness family. The former concession stand will now be known as the Thurness Family Sports Nutrition Center.
The NSCS Governance and Administration By-Laws were modified to include a fourth committee, the Executive Committee, consisting of the Board Chair, Board Vice-Chair, a Board member, and the NSCS Chancellor. The purpose of this committee is to develop, review, and assess performance goals and objectives.
Numerous reports were approved, such as: Residence halls, parking, food service vendors, occupancy, operating expenditures, graduation summer and fall 2018 summary, intercollegiate athletics, and the five-year academic calendar.
