CHADRON – Chadron State College’s Sixth Annual The Big Event is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, after the spring football game.

The Big Event is a student-led day of service designed for students, faculty and staff to thank the community for its continual support of CSC, according to Dr. Shaunda French-Collins, faculty adviser of CSC’s The Big Event.

The Big Event Graduate Assistant Megan O’Leary said 28 jobsites have been secured and about 350 volunteers have registered. Volunteer and jobsite registration closes April 12.

O’Leary said the current numbers for volunteers and jobsites are lower compared to past years, but she and The Big Event staff are looking forward to making a difference in the Chadron community.

“If students, faculty or staff want to make a difference in our community, I highly encourage them to register as a volunteer,” O’Leary said.

For more information, contact O’Leary at 308-432-6252 or moleary@csc.edu.
