Seniors to be recognized during Ivy Day

CHADRON – Graduating Chadron State College seniors who have distinguished themselves through academics, athletics, service and extracurricular activities during their college careers will be honored during Ivy Day Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall’s Auditorium.
Both December 2016 and May 2017 graduates will be honored. The event can be seen at CSC Live.
Dr. Josh Ellis, assistant professor of Applied Sciences, will be the faculty greeter. Student orators will be Mariah Conyers representing the Cardinal Key National Honor Society and Garret Dockweiler representing the Blue Key National Honor Society. The two organizations sponsor the event.
Traditionally, a king and a queen are crowned at Ivy Day. The candidates are nominated from among senior members of Blue Key and Cardinal Key.
The queen candidates are Teryn Blessin of Greenwood, Neb., Leyna Brummels of Ewing, Neb., Mariah Conyers of Bellwood, Neb., Larissa Hastings of Chadron, Neb., and Sara Marlatt of Wood Lake, Neb.
The king candidates are Coy Clark of Benkelman, Neb., Garret Dockweiler of Oconto, Neb., Justin German of Imperial, Neb., Regg Strotheide of Rushville, Neb., and Colton Wright of Albin, Wyo.
