Graves Lecture to include musical performance

CHADRON – Dr. Michael Stephens and Dr. Jim Margetts will present the final Graves Lecture of the semester at 6 p.m. Nov. 14, in the Sandoz Center's Chicoine Atrium.

They will perform an original composition for saxophone and piano by Stephens followed by a discussion titled "Relics and Remnant.” Stephens was commissioned to compose the piece and he and Margetts performed it for the Nebraska Music Teachers Association conference in October.

Stephens is an associate professor of music and Margetts is the dean of the School of Liberal Arts and a former Chadron State College music faculty member.
