Traphagan to speak about Holocaust during Tuesday's Graves Lecture
CHADRON – The Fall 2016 schedule for the Chadron State College Graves Lecture Series continues this week. The free, public lectures take place in the King Library’s Room 111 at 6 p.m. and will be archived on the CSC YouTube Channel.
CSC alumna and Chadron Middle School history teacher Mary Traphagan will focus on different aspects of the Holocaust and its ripple effects on humanity in her lecture Tuesday, Oct. 25. Traphagan, a Nebraska representative for the Institute for Holocaust Education, has been an educator for more than 20 years.
Tuesday, Nov. 8, Alex Helmbrecht, CSC Director of College Relations, will present “Behind the Polo Shirt: An Insider’s Look at the World of Sports Information.” Helmbrecht will focus on behind the scenes of the world of sports information and athletic journalism, including operating statistical programs, anecdotal stories dealing with players, coaches and administrators and what to do when things don’t go as planned.
