Nearly Naked Mile seeks volunteers
CHADRON - The staff of The Nearly Naked Mile is looking for volunteers to help with the annual event set to take place Thursday, April 28, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The fifth annual event began in 2012 as a way for students to express creativity with costumes, have fun during a short race and give back to the community of Chadron by donating clothing.
Clothing donations will be accepted Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Center.
Volunteers for the event will help collect, count and sort donated clothing. Volunteers will also receive a T-shirt. Volunteer leaders can use the event to gain volunteer hours for school, jobs and internships.
Prizes will be awarded to best group and individual costumes, most donated clothing items and fastest time in the race.
