March 24 Galaxy Series event to feature jazz vocalist
CHADRON – The final Galaxy Series performance of the spring semester will be jazz vocalist Kathy Kosins.
The Detroit native, whose smoky, soulful voice and elegant phrasing have entertained audiences across the country, will perform in CSC’s Memorial Hall on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m.
Kosins is a sought-after session singer in the jazz industry, a popular touring performer who also conducts workshops and clinics on college campuses nationwide, and a writer and arranger with six solo albums to her credit. Her 2016 concert tour primarily features her latest album ‘Uncovered Soul,’ produced by Grammy-award winner Kamau Kenyatta.
