Theatre Day offers workshops and auditions
CHADRON – CSC theatre faculty and students will offer workshops for area high school students during the department’s annual Theatre Day Thursday, Oct. 8. Scholarship auditions for new CSC students enrolling in 2016-2017 are also available by appointment. Registration is due Friday to jhovendick@csc.edu.
Workshops from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. will include: stage combat, set and lighting design, acting, auditioning, improvisation and theatre games. Participants will be able to attend two workshops. Lunch is not included in the registration but may be purchased in the Student Center cafeteria.
After lunch, CSC students will perform a special preview of the “25th Annual Spelling Bee.” The musical tracks six hopeful spelling bee contestants through the trials that brought them there, the colorful adults who put them through their paces and also includes audience participation
