Rodney Atkins concert set for April 24
CHADRON – Country singer Rodney Atkins will be the featured performer in the final Galaxy Series event of the year Friday, April 24, in the Nelson Physical Activity Center at 7 p.m.
Atkins’ award-winning hits in recent years include “Take A Back Road,” “Watching You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell.” His new single is “Eat Sleep Love You Repeat.”
Tickets for Chadron State College students and employees are available for free April 1. General public advance ticket sales begin April 8.
Public rates for concert tickets are $20 in advance or $25 the day of show. Public rates for concert and meal tickets are $30 in advance or $35 the day of the show.
A barbecue is planned on the lawn west of the Student Center at 5 p.m. Those interested should reserve tickets for the concert, meal, or both, by contacting the Box Office at 308-432-6207 or boxoffice@csc.edu Monday through Friday 2-6 p.m. April 1-April 23 and April 24 from noon until show time.
One concert ticket will be free for each Chadron State College student or employee who reserves by April 8 with proper college identification.
Students with a meal plan may reserve one concert ticket including a meal for free by April 8.
Each CSC student and employee will also be able to purchase one ticket for a guest at the advance public ticket rate before April 8. Additional tickets may be purchased after April 8.
When Atkins is not in the studio working on new music, he is working on the road, connecting with loyal fans in cities across the country. An avid supporter of the military, he completed his third USO entertainment tour to Kuwait and Afghanistan in 2014.
His hits compilation, “Rodney Atkins – Greatest Hits,” released in February, showcases 11 of his best-loved songs on his longtime label, Curb Records.
