CSC implementing revised payment policy

Published:

CHADRON – Chadron State College will implement a revised payment policy, beginning in the spring of 2016.

Under the new payment policy, students will be withdrawn from their courses, removed from campus housing and have their meal plans canceled if they have an outstanding balance of more than $500 approximately four weeks after the payment due date.

Since the first day of the spring semester begins Jan. 11, 2016, a student must have a balance less than $500 by Feb. 22. Payments for regular and first eight-week sessions are due Friday, Jan. 22 in the Business Office and Jan. 24 online.

Students were not dropped under the previous payment policy when they had an outstanding balance. They were charged a late fee and weren’t allowed to register for the next term until payment was received. However, the change to the policy aligns CSC with the other two Nebraska State College System schools – Peru State and Wayne State – and their payment polices.

Chadron State students will still not be allowed to enroll in future terms if their balance is greater than $150 by April 15.
