Chadron Police Department investigating death at residence hall

CHADRON – The Chadron Police Department is investigating the death of Fatima Larios, a 19-year-old female from Seaside, California.

The Chadron Police Department was called to High Rise, a residence hall on the campus of Chadron State College, at 2:30 a.m. and Larios was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation of the scene leads Vance Haug, the Dawes County Attorney and Coroner, to believe that foul play is not involved, however, an autopsy, toxicological screening and further forensic testing will be ordered as part of the investigatory process.

Further details will be released when appropriate from the coroner’s office. Any questions in regard to the investigation can be directed to the Dawes County Attorney’s Office.
