The next CSC Campus Arboretum Volunteers (CAV) meeting will be Feb. 21.

CAV members will gather in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at 9 a.m. to clean, sort and package wildflower seeds harvested from plantings on campus, according to Lucinda Mays, CSC horticulturist.

Seed packages are offered for a donation in the Sandoz Center gift store. CAV members, guests and friends are also invited to bring their own seeds for a seed swap.

Dawes County Bluebirds Across Nebraska (BAN) Coordinator Nancy Sharps will cover a variety of topics including why bluebirds and other cavity-nesting birds need human help, how to set up and maintain a bluebird trail and how to volunteer to help bluebirds on campus. The events will conclude promptly at noon.

Mays said the public is invited to attend and families with children are always welcome. Refreshments are provided.
