Margetts is excited for the opportunity. “I have tremendous respect and appreciation for this group of faculty and staff, and I really look forward to working with them, and for them, in this new role,” he said.
Margetts came to Chadron State College in August 2004 as a music faculty member and served as the visual and performing arts department chair from 2006 to 2009. He was elected president of Faculty Senate for the 2011-12 term.

According to Snare, a national search for the dean of Liberal Arts and Essential Studies program position will commence in the fall 2014 semester.
