CSC students shine at band convention
Five Chadron State College music students participated in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Band which performed at the 53rd annual Nebraska State Bandmaster Association gathering in Lincoln last week.
The students are Zach Kirchmeyer, senior of Redmond, Wash., trombone; Drew Kasch, sophomore of Highlands Ranch, Colo., alto saxophone; A.J. Maser, senior of Chadron, trombone; Brendan Mead, senior of Knoxville, Iowa, horn and Nicoli Poitra, junior of Seldon, Kan., euphonium.
CSC Band Director Sid Shuler said, “These students were recommended as potential ambassadors of Chadron State College to play among their peers from other Nebraska Colleges and Universities. They were selected based on their merit and abilities.”
