Blue Key and Cardinal Key induct new members
Eleven men were inducted into the Chadron State College chapter of the Blue Key National Honor Society recently.
They are: Jacob Almanrode of Chappell, Neb., Barrett Browne of Sidney, Neb., Devan Fors of Roseburg, Ore., Dylan Fors of Roseburg, Ore., Scott Fraser of Lincoln, Tyrel Grasz of Brady, Neb., Kale Lytle, Luke Miller, Cole Montgomery, Jacob Palmer of Alliance, Neb., and Garrett Westman of Gurley, Neb.
Membership in Blue Key is considered to be one of the highest honors a CSC male student can achieve. Members are chosen for displaying leadership, scholarship and character.
The group serves as a student service organization and sponsors projects of benefit to the college and student body. It was chartered on the CSC campus in the spring of 1932.
The men chosen for membership must be full-time students, be a junior or senior, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and be involved in at least one CSC activity.
Five female students have been selected to become members of Chadron State College’s chapter of the Cardinal Key National Honor Society for the next academic year.
They are: Dominque Arnold of Denver, Colo., Jamie Krien of Waverly, Neb., Cynthia Lee of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Chancy Miller of Clarks, Neb., and Alyssa Peters of Bridgeport, Neb.
Membership in Cardinal Key is based on scholarship, leadership and character, and is regarded as one of the highest honors a woman can receive at Chadron State. Application is open to upperclassmen with a grade-point average of at least 3.25.
The CSC chapter places a strong emphasis on community service. Past projects have included organizing blood drives, ushering at performing arts events, fundraising for juvenile diabetes and assisting with the Ivy Day honors ceremony.
