On Feb. 17, the Chadron State College Department of Music and the CSC Foundation will unveil a recently refurbished 1918 Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano. The 3 p.m. recital in the Memorial Hall auditorium by Associate Professor of Music Dr. James Margetts will feature music from the years 1909-1911.

Margetts will be playing music composed by Franz Joseph Haydn, Frederic Chopin, Maurice Ravel, and Samuel Barber. Two of the selections are piano sonatas, and two are dramatic character pieces.

The concert is open to the public and free of charge. A reception following the concert will honor Dr. Jackson Hammitt, professor emeritus, and his wife, Peg, whose generous financial contribution made the refurbished Steinway possible.
