Senior art majors display 'The Altered World'

The Chadron State College senior thesis art show “The Altered World” featuring the work of Patrick Mooney and Conor McGhehey opens Nov. 20 in the Memroial Hall Main Gallery.

Mooney will be receiving his bachelor’s degree with the art/graphic design option in May of 2014. His artwork consists of paintings, sculpture, stained glass, and graphic design inspired by video games, music, movies and family.

McGhehey will be graduating with his bachelor’s degree with the art/graphic design option in December. He works in the medium of painting, sculpture, mix-media, and stained glass. The inspiration for his work comes from movies, random Google searches, music and his own imaginational twist.

A reception for the artists will be held Nov. 22 from 4-6 p.m. in the lobby of Memorial Hall. The artwork on display is also for sale.
