On-Campus Registration session complete

Published:

About 20 incoming Chadron State College students and their families from Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Montana, New York, Wyoming and South Dakota attended the first On-Campus Registration session of 2013 this week. The number was less than half the anticipated number due to winter storms and unsafe travel conditions in the region.

Students who did not attend due to the weather, or another reason, should contact Danielle Hencey at dhencey@csc.edu or (308) 432-6023. Students choosing to reschedule can attend a registration event on June 12 or June 26, or register for classes by communicating with the START office using their Eaglemail account.

Other students who have not yet chosen an event to attend may do so by clicking the link to the registration form on the CSC homepage, completing and submiting it.

Incoming CSC students are enrolled in a wide variety of majors from all three academic schools. Danielle Hencey and Deena Kennell from the START office and Lisa Stein, director of Admissions, comprise the steering committee for the event.

Hencey said there is a lot of interest in classes about healthy lifestyles, like "We are What We Eat," "A Better You Through Financial and Physical Health" and "Nutrition, Weight Loss and Wellness."

"Planning OCR is always a group effort. Student Services and Academic departments work together each year to ensure successful OCR sessions. With the expectation of a larger incoming class this year, we will continue to work closely with faculty members and other staff members," Hencey added.

Stein said, "We are so excited to see our new incoming Eagles and look forward to helping them get a great start to their college career."
