A first-time event called Advising Week will begin Oct. 28 and run through Nov. 1 for on-campus undergraduate students who are not registered for spring.

Sherry Douglas, senior director of student services, said, “The intent of Advising Week is to encourage students to meet their academic advisors and build their spring 2014 class schedules. We felt that designing a formal, focused week would assist with this effort.”

On Oct. 28 and Nov. 1, students, will be able to see advisors in their respective academic department buildings between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted in an email communication sent via Eagle Mail.

During the week, on Oct. 29, advisors will be available in in the Reta E. King Library from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Oct. 30, advisors will be available in the Student Center from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Oct. 31 advisors will be available in the Gold Room from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Online and graduate students not yet registered for spring have been invited to participate in a similar, but unique, event tailored for their needs entitled Sneak Peek which runs Oct. 23 - 25.
