Homecoming theme: 'Heroes Homecoming'
The Chadron State College Homecoming Committee has chosen the theme of “Heroes Homecoming” for the Oct. 5 CSC football game against Adams State. Committee chairman Dr. Rick Koza said he feels the theme will encourage a wide array of approaches in parade floats, bed sheet posters and other spontaneous art.
Campus Activities Board Vice Chair for Programming, Dani Buckley, said she thinks that incorporating a t-shirt design contest this year will provide yet another avenue for student involvement. She sees the theme as a great continuation from the community service events such as The Big Event and The Nearly Naked Mile hosted by CSC throughout the past semester.
“With our early decision and using this theme, students and community members can choose to either take a serious approach and thank people like parents, mentors, military veterans, firefighters and police or they have the freedom to create designs that reflect past or present super heroes from film or print,” Koza said.
Events sponsored by student organizations will begin Wednesday and run through Saturday. A variety of CSC Alumni activities will be planned Oct. 4 and 5.
