Volunteers raised $175,280 in the Chadron State Foundation annual fall campaign. Community chairmen, Senna Reeves and Jason Carnahan along with campus chairmen Rob Stack and Brent Bargen organized over 120 volunteers during the three-week campaign.

Members of the campus and community teams contacted their co-workers and associates to raise funds for scholarships and other support for campus. The work culminated in a celebration luncheon on campus last week to announce the results of the effort.

At the luncheon, winning teams received awards based on points for continued, new and increased pledges to the campus. Other amusing awards based on happenings during the campaign were also presented.

Members of the winning community team were Dan Garrett, Sara Rittgarn and Jen Brown, of Fred A. Lockwood & Co. with David Russell and Julie Schommer both of Security First Bank and retired physician, Bob Rasmussen.

The winning team from the campus side came from the Information Technology department: Keith Crofutt, Eric Wellnitz, Dolyn Brown, Joseph Beyene, Malinda Linegar and Ted Tewahade.

Leslie Bargen, development officer for the foundation, thanked the volunteers for their dedication and said the campaign total will continue to increase as more pledges and payments are received. Anyone interested in making a pledge to the Chadron State Annual Campaign may contact the foundation office at 308-432-6366.
