Dr. Scott Meredith, assistant professor of trumpet at the University of Wyoming, will present a solo trumpet recital Saturday, March 24, at Chadron State College. The free performance begins at 3 p.m. in the Chicoine Atrium of the Sandoz Center.

Meredith primarily will play music from the Baroque period, displaying his unique sound and style with the piccolo trumpet.

Dr. Adam Lambert, chairman of the CSC music department, said Meredith is a well-known performer in Colorado and Wyoming and performs extensively with the Fort Collins Symphony and the Casper Symphony orchestras. Lambert and Meredith became friends while studying at the University of North Texas.
