Chadron State College’s two finalists for president, Dr. Randy Rhine of Chadron, and Dr. Guy Mills of Goodland, Kan., reached the end of a full week of meetings and interview sessions Thursday.

Rhine and Mills are met Thursday morning with members of the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees during an executive session in Wayne. The interviews precede the board’s regular business meeting at the Wayne State College Student Center on Friday.

The board wasn't scheduled to make a decision between the two candidates during the coming week, but NSCS offiicials say they hope to act quickly.

The two candidates met with a wide range of college constituent groups on the CSC campus Monday and Tuesday, including students, faculty, professional staff, support staff and the community. On Wednesday, they met with NSCS staff in Wayne.

The presidency at Chadron State became vacant with the retirement of Dr. Janie Park on May 11. Rhine, the former CSC vice president for enrollment management and student services, has served as interim president since Park’s retirement. Mills is president of Northwest Kansas Technical College at Goodland.

The candidates’ resumes can be found on the president's page the Chadron State website, www.csc.edu.
