Pyne is working on a project about the effects of fire in the Great Plains. He’s also working on the books “Between Two Fires: A fire History of North America, 1960-2011,” and “To the Last Smoke.”

He also has authored “Fire: A Brief History,” and “America’s Fires. A Historical Context for Policy and Practice.”

The presentation, which is open to the public free of charge, is sponsored by the CSC Ag Club and the rangeland management program.
