Chadron State College’s chapter of the Nu Delta Alpha national dance honor society and the Consuming Fire Dance School of Dance are taking their talents to “the street” this week. The dancers will present “An Evening on the Boulevard” on Saturday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

The students will dance to a variety of music inspired by urban America. Selections ranging from the Big Band Era to hip hop will help students display their talents in pointe, ballet, tap, liturgical, hip hop, swing, jazz and clogging. More than 20 dances are on the program.

The honor society consists of 18 members, and will induct seven dancers into the NDA national membership on Saturday. The new inductees are Hannah Clark of Littleton, Colo., Nikki Highfill of Newcastle, Wyo., Reba Jackson of Hay Springs and Jayma Smay of Sidney. Returning members are Laura Empson of Chadron, Lindsey Ferguson of Springview and Liz Rice of Ravenna.
