Seven seniors featured in art show

An exhibit at Chadron State College, “The Seven Deadly and Lively Artists,” will feature the work of CSC’s graduating art students.
The exhibit is on display March 31-April 15 in the main gallery of Memorial Hall. The show’s closing reception, which is open to the public, will be Friday, April 15, from 4-6 p.m.
Kelsey Hinesley of Edgemont, one of the seniors, said the show’s name is a spin-off of the seven sins and virtues.
Other featured artists are Debra Hellerich of Waverly, Hilory Martin of Bozeman, Mont., Joshua Martin of Hot Springs, S.D., James Overshiner of Hemingford, Shannon Steben of Torrington, Wyo., and Abby Zimmerman of Mullen.
The majority of the artists specialize in 3-D work, such as ceramics, glassblowing and stained glass. Other media in the show include painting, graphic design and drawing.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
