Faculty art show explores 'Then and Now'

Chadron State College Art Department faculty will display their latest work along with the art of their predecessors during the faculty show in Memorial Hall’s main gallery titled “Then and Now.”

The public is invited to an opening reception the day of the exhibit’s opening, Wednesday, March 2, from 3-5 p.m. The show will be on display until March 25.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of CSC’s founding, the show also will feature pieces from previous CSC Art Department faculty who have taught since the Art Department was formed in 1956.

Work from William Artis, John Dillon, Tony Martin, Noel Gray, Paul Pfrehm, Vince Hazen, Kit Watson and Don Ruleaux will be on view along with recent work by the current art faculty of Richard Bird, Laura Bentz, Mary Donahue and Nancy Sharps.

Art materials will run the gamut from sculpture, ceramics, glass, painting and printmaking to graphic design and digital media.
