Winter Formal competition has 33 candidates

Thirty-three students have been nominated for candidacy in the Chadron State College Winter Magic Formal royalty competition. The king and queen will be crowned during the Valentine's Day dinner and dance at the Student Center, Sunday, Feb. 14.

The competition has 17 candidates for queen and 16 candidates for king, each nominated by a campus organization. The dance begins at 8 p.m. with the coronation scheduled for 10 p.m.

The dance is sponsored TASC Force, an acronym for The Alternative Student Choice. The organization promotes drug-free and alcohol-free lifestyles.
