Still time to see student art shows
Two Chadron State College student art shows are on display in Memorial Hall through the end of the week.
In the Main Gallery is the All Student Juried Art Show with work in a wide variety of media—paintings, drawings, prints, photography, graphic design, clay, glass, and sculpture. More than 40 students entered and the show contains over 80 pieces of student work done in the last two years.
In Gallery 239 on the second floor of Memorial Hall is the Advanced Art Studio Show. The show features the work of students with Art 430/Advanced Art Studio credit further exploring their mediums of choice.
On display is the clay work of Susi Schaefer, Pat Moss, Steve Lenzo, Brandon Bailey, Daniel Binkard, James Overshiner, and Chance Whelchel; metal sculpture and painting by Brandon Allen; watercolor by Trey White; photography by Leslie Farnham; graphic design by Daniel King, Nikki Suhr, Ashley Johnson, Brandon Allen, and Debra Hellerich; and stained glass by Dewayne Gimeson.
Both exhibits run until Friday, April 30, and are open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by appointment.
