Powwow theme focuses on youth

“Strengthening Community Through Our Youth” is the theme of the Chadron State College Powwow, which is set for Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Student Center.

The powwow will begin with registration at 9 a.m. and grand entries  at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. A traditional meal will be served at 2 p.m.

White River Crossing will serve as the host drum and the master of ceremonies will be Chris Eagle Hawk. Delane Has No Horse will be the arena director.

Day money, paid at the end of the event, will be awarded for the first 25 dancers, three drum groups and three honor guards to register. Vendor space is available.
