Expertise from the region is being tapped for this semester's portion of the Dorset Graves Lecture Series at Chadron State College.

The schedule, which includes five Tuesdays beginning this month and ending in April, will kick off Feb. 16, with CSC science professor Joyce Hardy’s presentation about Charles Darwin’s contributions to science.

Judge Russ Harford will speak about “criminal justice from different perspectives” March 2.

Veteran Logan Veath on March 16 will tell about his experiences of military service in two war zones.

On March 30, CSC music professor Jim Margetts will deliver his presentation, “Echoes of Venice.”

The final speaker of the spring will be retired CSC dean Pat Colgate on April 13. The title of his speech is “A View of the Future of American Higher Education as Perceived by Chadron State College in 1985: How Close Did We Come?”

Each session begins at 7 p.m. in room 108 of the Reta King Library. The series is open to the public free of charge and refreshments will be served.
