Justice studies students to present research
Honors students from the Chadron State College Justice Studies Department will present research during the fifth annual Academic Showcase on Monday, Dec. 6. The event will be 6-7:30 p.m. at the Chicoine Atrium of the Sandoz Center.
The three student groups will present research about their respective topics. Following are the students and their projects:
“Cheers: A Study of the Influence of Alcohol on a College Campus” – Shawna Brown, Rapid City, S.D.; Adam Burling, Powell, Wyo.; Rebecca Chasek, Chadron; Amy Jo Janssen, Gordon; and Kelsey Weber, Rapid City, S.D.
“Perceptions of Firearms on Campus” – Kylie Kindred, Morrill; Katrina Mundt, Hemingford; John Sandlian, Torrington, Wyo.; and Mathew Templar, Torrington, Wyo..
“Legalization of Marijuana: A College’s Perspective” – Raymond Doud, Rapid City, S.D.; Lynette Ebert, Rosthern, Saskatchewan; Dean Fankhauser, Chadron; Mathew McNeil, Chadron; Jessica Roit, Ohiowa; and Kelsey Warren, Rawlins, Wyo.
The event is open to the public free of charge.
