Jazz Birds begin performances Wednesday
The Chadron State College Jazz Birds and their new student members will perform for the first time this semester at Wrecker’s Roadhouse. The performance will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3.
The four new Jazz Birds this semester are Austin Cecil of Rapid City on drums and Nate Edelman of Minneapolis, Minn., on guitar. They replace seniors Wes Mitchell of Rapid City and Andy Young of Spearfish, S.D.. Also new are trombonist Jerod Kohler of North Platte and vibist Mike Grosek of Sturgis, S.D. The Jazz Birds feature the singing talent of Misty Wilson of Hill City, S.D., Trevor Reisig of Mitchell and Alex Keller of Chadron.
The group is led by CSC music faculty member Dr. Sandy Schaefer.
