Health fair is Thursday

A full slate of activities, presentations and displays await those who attend the Wellness for a Lifespan Health Fair on Thursday, Jan. 21. The fair, which is open to the public free of charge, will be 3-7 p.m. at the Chadron State College Student Center.

Shellie Johns, CSC coordinator of conferencing, said the event not only provides health opportunities for students and the community, but also improves awareness of offerings in the region.

More than 50 booths by regional organizations and businesses will have information and activities available for those who attend. Attendees will be offered free vaccinations for H1N1.

Although the fair is free to attend, some screenings will be available for purchase. They include blood tests ranging from $22.30 to $36.95.

The fair, which is being offered on campus for the third consecutive year, is being sponsored by CSC, Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services and the Lifespan Wellness Team.
