Geoscience student completes NASA program
Chadron State College junior Joseph Reedy of Newell, S.D., completed the summer session of the Undergraduate Student Research Program at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.
USRP is a competitive program that offers undergraduates across the United States mentored internship experiences at NASA centers and research support facilities. The program gives students the ultimate workforce experience, preparing them for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Sessions are offered each spring, summer and fall.
Reedy, who is studying geoscience at CSC, said he applied to the program to “gain real experience from one of the leading science institutes in the nation.”
Applications for the spring session are available online and are due by Oct. 31.
