Employees honored at recognition dinner
Chadron State College paid tribute to its employees Friday during its annual recognition dinner for faculty and staff.
Among those receiving recognition by CSC President Janie Park were 10 employees who have retired or plan to leave the institution this year.
They are Jim Atchison, boiler operator, Charles Cressy, professor of business; Glenda Gamby, public services librarian, Catherine Lockwood, professor of geography, Darrell Marshall, maintenance supervisor, Peggy Marshall, instructor of education, Samuel Rankin, professor of history and former president, Sharon Rickenbach, director of Student Academic Success Services, Robin Smith, instructional design coordinator, and Sally Zahn, technical services librarian.
Park also honored Lorie Hunn, assistant professor of education, who is CSC’s nominee for the Nebraska State College System’s George Rebensdorf Teaching Excellence Award.
In addition, faculty and staff members who have been at the institution 10 years or longer were recognized for celebrating special anniversaries of employment. The list of those names follows.

15 Years: Pamela J. Anderson, Janet Hartman, Lisette Leesch and Steve Taylor
10 Years: Lynda Krejci, Chuck Butterfield, Sandy Schaefer, Roberta Johnson, Kimberley Encinas, Kristal Kuhnel and Tracy Shuck
