CSC choir raising funds for European tour

Arioso, Chadron State College’s women’s choir, is raising money for a European performance tour in 2011.

The choir, which consists of 20-25 members, is selling raffle tickets for a hand-sewn quilt. The proceeds from the group’s fund-raising will be used toward costs of the group’s travels to Europe in March 2011. The destinations include Austria’s Salzburg and Vienna, and Prague of the Czech Republic.

The quilt went on display at the Ta-Da Art Studio in downtown Chadron today (Wednesday, April 7), and will later be moved to the Bean Broker. It also can be seen at the Assumption Arena during the Chadron Festival of Quilts April 22-25.

Tickets may be purchased at the viewing locations or during the upcoming choir concerts. In addition, tickets will be sold by Dr. Una Taylor, the group’s director, choir directors, and Judy Rutter, CSC office assistant. More information may be obtained by contacting Rutter at 308-432-6375 or Taylor at 308-432-6484. Their offices are in Memorial Hall.
