Choral groups to present concert
Chadron State College choral groups, under the direction of Dr. Joel Schreuder and Dr. Una Taylor, will present a concert Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. at the Chadron Arts Center.
The event will feature music of the concert choir, men’s vocal ensemble, and Arioso, the women’s vocal ensemble.
Arioso will perform a setting of a poem by e.e. cummings called “If”, a spiritual “Ain’t No Grave Can Hold My Body Down,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Alleluia,” among others.
The men’s ensemble will perform a Nylons arrangement of “Up on the Roof,” Thomas Tallis’s “Mass for Four Voices” and Josh Groban’s “Lullaby.”
The concert choir will perform a set centered on the theme of fire and passion, and three Americana spiritual folk songs.
The concert is open to the public free of charge.
