Chadron mayor proclaims April 9 Scholastic Contest Day

Chadron Mayor Donny Grantham on Monday proclaimed Friday, April 9, as Scholastic Contest Day in special recognition of the Chadron State College event's 50th anniversary this year.

More than 2,000 students are expected for the annual event, in which high school students test in a wide variety of subjects. So far, 57 schools have signed up to attend.
