Theatre Day scheduled at CSC
High school students from nearby and three bordering states will get special viewings of the Chadron State College theatre program’s first production of the 2009-2010 season.
The program will present the family musical “Once Upon a Mattress” during its Theatre Day on Thursday Oct. 8. In addition to the show, the students will participate in workshops conducted by CSC theatre students and faculty. Workshop topics include makeup, improvisation, auditions, stage lighting and sound, and stage combat.
The following afternoon, Friday, Oct. 9, more than 500 area elementary students will attend a special matinee of the production sponsored by the Chadron Public Library Foundation.
The production will open to the public Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 8-10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. Tickets for those performances are available from the CSC box office, 308-432-6360 or boxoffice@csc.edu.
